Hey there, I'm Angela! From the doodles that covered the walls of my childhood room to the prototypes that fill my computer screen today, I've always loved creating things. Whether it be building up multimodal experiences at Meta AI, founding a YC-backed AI productivity platform, advising startups in the space, or guiding 0-1 responsible AI creation at Microsoft— I've made it my goal to drive long-lasting impact through human-AI alignment for good.

I've always liked to leverage the natural tension between design and engineering to build impactful things, with a strong focus on crafting novel solutions for age-old problems— which is precisely why I founded Needl, a new way to work that's both unified and intelligent, driven by AI. I seek to build delightful, human-centric experiences to empower people with AI. I build for customers humans.

Before my big tech and startup ventures, I conducted research in the adversarial ML space on how to defend against deepfakes, built 0-1 products from the ground up at early-stage startups, and organized local hackathons in Chicago and Seattle. And before that, I founded and ran an independent design and fine art studio for many years, stemming from my first job (fun fact!) as curatorial intern at a local contemporary art museum.

When I'm not on Figma or VS Code, you can probably find me exploring the PNW on 35mm, raving about Robert Lang's latest design, or cooking a little too much.
