Interior design and curation for my space. Currently inspired by: Isamu Noguchi, eco-brutalism, the architecture of chairs, and, as always, Tadao Ando.
Photography's a long-time love of mine— I've always enjoyed shooting digitally, but film holds a special place in my heart (and creative journey). I'm forced to curate the composition carefully beforehand, making each shot feel more intentional. Shooting in film also instills in me a sense of nostalgia, like recently, when I recovered an old Olympus Stylus from the 90s in storage.
Over the years, I've found more and more similarities between the culinary arts and product design. I'm fortunate to have grown up with my parents' homecooking that fostered in me a love for cooking and baking as well, and am a big fan of experimenting with new flavor profiles and ingredients - here are just a few food creations I've made recently.
Freelance portrait and event photography business I used to run in Chicago and Houston -- these days, I prefer to take photos for pure leisure, but this sure was a fun time!
Before I was a designer and engineer, I was a dedicated wall doodler (as celebrated by my own parents!) Here's a snippet of some pieces I've made lately. Pictured: 'Komorebi', multimedia with charcoal, graphite, sumi (ink), gold leaf, etc.
Ongoing re-designs of my website (aka this site) from 2019-2023! Designed and developed from scratch with love. Featuring custom illustrations and interactive features.
Illustration and design for the University of Chicago Intervarsity chapter.
Back in university & grad school, I found it fun to hack at random projects in my freetime. These projects, ranging from generative VR art to a campus dining hall application were clunky and scrappy, but I sure did learn a lot from them.

Design, development, and illustration for Chicago’s Official MLH hackathon, Uncommon Hacks, for my second year organizing. Theme was based on vintage 8-bit games, as was the custom site interaction (WASD to move, etc.)
As co-organizer and tech lead, I created illustrations and designs for Chicago’s Official MLH hackathon, Uncommon Hacks, for three consecutive years. Besides annual theme-specific designs, also created a wide range of sponsorship and recruitment designs featured here.
